Ahmet Cakir is Clairity’s Director of Engineering. He brings deep expertise in machine learning, medical imaging, and scalable AI systems, with a track record of building high-performing engineering teams and deploying production-grade ML platforms in healthcare and life sciences.

Prior to joining Clairity, Ahmet was Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Perceptive IO, where he led development of real-time, low-latency ML systems for 2D and 3D medical imaging, and co-architected cloud-native pipelines for large-scale clinical data processing. Previously, he was Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Beacon Bio, where he built and led multidisciplinary teams developing end-to-end machine learning systems for neurological biomarker detection and played a key role in the FDA 510(k) submission process. Earlier in his career, Ahmet held roles at Ab Initio and SFL Scientific, where he developed scalable ML infrastructure and advanced AI models, including large language and vision models.

Ahmet holds a PhD in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Research in Medical Robotics and Image Guided Intervention from Imperial College London, and a B.S. in Computer Science from Université Paris-Dauphine.
